The program aims at a training ending in employment for the nationalization of the mining industry in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the achievement of the 2030 Saudi Vision. The apprentice can join the program, which lasts for two and a half years, after graduating from high school (the science division) and satisfying the other conditions and prerequisites. These include the General Aptitude Test (GAT) and the Qiyas Test, among the other prerequisites of the program. The apprentice can choose one of three specializations offered by the institute. These are: underground mining, surface mining, and mining operations. In case of successful completion of the program, the apprentice will receive a mining diploma certificate in accordance with his specialization. The training program is distinguished for the fact that it is one that ends in employment.
